One of my must-do in Korea - stay in a traditional Hanok. Despite the slightly higher price compared to the hostels I usually stay at, I chose a Hanok stay for my out of Seoul holiday trip with Mr Ting who came to visit.

Overall I'll still recommend the place because of its proximity to the attractions!
We booked the hotel at agoda.com. The place is about 15 minutes away (by taxi) from the bus terminals, centrally located within walking distance from the main attractions. It's located in the heart of the hanok village, with cafes and restaurants at its doorstep.
The hanok's owners were very friendly, though knowledge of Korean language may be essential as they do not speak much English.
The room is clean and comfortable, with a huge tv, fan and aircon. The toilet was clean but quite small. There was free wifi but the connection was very bad, so I had to use 3G instead.

Hi! Great posts about Korea you have in this blog :) Notice that you've travelled to many cities outside Seoul. Just wondering if you carry all your luggage when you went to other cities - or left your stuff behind in Seoul. If you left it in Seoul, wondering where did you keep it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Michael, I was living in Seoul for a while so my trips were mostly weekend trips. If you need to keep your luggage there's lockers available at most train and bus stations 😊
